This project started as I observed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our community.
This is a tribute to the diverse, hard-working, creative people behind the small businesses that shape the uniqueness of our small town. They grow our food, they teach dance, provide health care, service our car and give us a haircut.
The affect of the novel coronavirus is different for all businesses. For some, it halted work completely while others have struggled to meet demands. This series conveys the deep pride of a business owner and illustrates a community that stands together.

The small business series received a grant through Tennessee Arts Builds Community. Vinyl prints were created and installed in April 2021 around the public square in Maury County to allow other small businesses the ability to have more visibility. It also allows for outdoor movement in our community.
